CareerSource Heartland, Wells Fargo and Indian River State College are collaborating to offer you, our business partners, Employee Development and Training classes to upgrade the skill sets of your staff. The following courses are available:

Diversity:  Personalities in the Workplace
 
This course will consider the scope of similarities and differences we encounter in the workplace.  Participants will be able to develop strategies that allow them to approach people in a productive and effective way. This course will help attendees expand their understanding of the range of diversity; identify options for creating an inclusive environment, and increase team members’ sense of belonging and importance.  Managers and supervisors will be able to use the content to focus their employees on ways that drive a greater personal and team success. 
 
 Legal Side of Management

As a manager, are you an asset or liability to your agency?  Participants will understand how to take critical precautions and have a clear understanding of the law and organization policies.  The course will examine how policies differ from the law.  Managers, supervisors, and leaders will understand what they need to be concerned with as it relates to managing employees.  Using real world cases and examples, participants will be able identify the management responsibilities for maintaining and promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace and distinguish among illegal, impermissible, and inappropriate conduct in the workplace.
