🌟 Introducing Chamber Connect Luncheons
We’re excited to launch a new era of connection and collaboration in Okeechobee with the debut of our Chamber Connect Luncheons—a refreshed take on our traditional business gatherings. These monthly events are designed to bring local professionals, business owners, and community leaders together for meaningful conversations, timely updates, and shared meals that spark new ideas and partnerships. Whether you're a longtime Chamber member or someone just getting involved, Chamber Connect offers a welcoming space to learn, grow, and engage. 🤝
Our very first Chamber Connect Luncheon will take place on 🗓️ Tuesday, June 18th, from 🕛 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 📍 Indian River State College – Dixon-Hendry Campus in Okeechobee. Doors open at 11:30 AM for early networking and conversation. We’re kicking things off with a timely and essential theme: “🌪️ Weathering the Storm: Staying Informed & Prepared.” In a state where weather impacts everything from safety to sales, we’ve invited top experts to help our local businesses get ahead of the curve.
Our featured speaker is 🎤 Cris Martinez, Chief Meteorologist at WPBF Channel 25, who will share valuable insight into Florida weather patterns and preparedness tips. He’ll be joined by 🚒 Public Safety Director/Fire Chief Earl Wooten and 🛟 Emergency Management Director [Name], who will speak about how our local agencies are working to keep our community ready and resilient. The Chamber will also share its 📈 quarterly update, and we’ll show you how to easily 📲 sign up for emergency alerts and local weather notifications that can keep your business informed in real time.
Of course, no Chamber Connect Luncheon would be complete without a mouthwatering meal, and we’ve got a great one lined up! 🍽️ D&G Catering will be serving a Southern-style lunch featuring:
Creamy Chicken Alfredo, Hearty Baked Ziti, Buttered Green Beans, Yeast Rolls with Butter, Dressed Garden Salad, Southern Banana Pudding 🍌, Cookie Variety 🍪, Sweet Tea, Unsweet Tea & Ice-Cold Water 🧊
We invite you to bring your appetite, your business cards, and your curiosity as we launch this exciting new chapter. 🎟️ Seats are limited, so Chamber members should register via the Member Portal, and first-time guests can contact us directly to reserve a spot.
This is more than just a lunch—it’s your chance to connect, contribute, and stay informed as part of a thriving, supportive business community. We can’t wait to welcome you on June 18th! 🎉
