Description
The Okeechobee Fraternal Order of Police is working to create an Independence Day Celebration which will be a multi-faceted event. Although the event is family oriented, the primary goal is to educate K-12 grade aged children on a large variety of public safety topics. We have received overwhelming support from organizations within the community that are willing to donate their time and resources to participate. The event will consist of educational booths, presentations and demonstrations by various organizations within the Okeechobee Community. The event finale will be a fireworks show in celebration of Independence Day that will be in a location which will be conducive for almost any Okeechobee resident to watch.
