The Okeechobee Bridal Expo is put on by a group of wedding professionals who care about giving back to Okeechobee’s community. Every year we choose a different local non-profit/ 501 (c)(3) to benefit from the expo. All money returns to the cause, we are a 100% return team. Our Mission is to raise as much funds as possible through our event as well as bring business to Okeechobee area.
It will be a fun wedding planning evening for you and your friend's, family, and even groom to attend! Filled with various wedding vendors, inspiration, fashion, food, and anything that could contribute to your wedding planning experience.

Okeechobee Humane Society Pet Rescue FL, Inc.

Okeechobee’s Human society Pet Rescue FL Inc. is Okeechobee’s only no kill shelter. 10 years ago Belinda Forlifer found herself looking for a place to donate her time, she loved animals and wanted to help out at a local no kill shelter but the close one to Okeechobee at the time was Highlands County so she drove the 80 some odd miles to Highlands County to just to help the animals. Belinda stayed at highlands for 4 years and even served some time on their board. Soon the Highland shelter became over full and sadly had to turn away dogs.

Belinda left Highlands soon after and she decided that Okeechobee needed a No kill shelter and she was going to make it happen.

6 years ago the shelter opened and has adopted out over 700 animals to loving homes in that time frame.

With the shelter being a non-profit/ 501 (c) (3) funds are limited to donations. Yes, fundraisers are held but only that money can last so long. There are many times where they fear the shelter will have to shut down due to no funding and the only place the animals could go would be the pound.

This is why we choose the No kill shelter to benefit this year’s Bridal Expo because they truly need it the most. So please help us support the great cause!
