United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee will open a United Way House in Okeechobee on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:30 a.m. The new United Way House will be located at 208 N. Parrot Avenue in Okeechobee. The public is invited to attend the grand opening. United Way Houses bring services to the communities where they are needed. The Okeechobee United Way House will provide space for agencies to reach clients, making multiple resources available to residents in one location. CASTLE will be the lead partner agency for the House. Also at the United Way House in Okeechobee will be the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Children’s Home Society. With the addition of the Okeechobee House, there will be a total of 19 United Way Houses in Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee Counties.
