Description
Our next Quarterly Business Exchange Luncheon, sponsored by Helping People Succeed, will be on Wednesday, April 10th from 11:45am – 1:00pm. at IRSC. This will be an exciting presentation about The Florida Trail Association & Gateway Community Program of which Okeechobee is now a part. We are excited to be a Gateway Community and even have our own passport stamp that will be used when any traveler stops by to tour our area. Our presenters for this luncheon will be Halle Goldstein and Kelly Weiner. As the Gateway Communities Coordinator, Halle oversees interaction and partnerships with 11 different communities that run along or close in proximity to the Florida Trail and Kelly, our Central/South Trail Program Manager, manages the 600 miles of trail between the southern terminus and the Ocala National Forest. Both are avid outdoors women and have a passion for wildlife and conservation. How many times do we visit other states or countries when we have some excellent day or overnight trips that we can take right here in our own back yard. Mark your calendars now for this beautiful slide presentation. You’ll be amazed at all they have to share. Please…Remember to RSVP at okeechobeebusiness.com to reserve you lunch. The cost of the luncheon is $15 per person. We hope to have a great turn out for these dedicated conservationists. This will also be the kickoff for the Helping People Succeed “April Showers” event.
