Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park 33104 NW 192nd Ave, Okeechobee, FL 34972 Kissimmee Prairie Preserve's single entrance is off CR 724, -- NW 240th Street if coming from the east off Hwy 441, or NW 176th Avenue coming from the south off Hwy 98. (Follow the brown signs.) From CR 724, turn right (north) onto Peavine Trail and take it for 5 miles (through the Viking subdivision) until you reach the Entrance.
Cost is $24 for Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve members and $34 for non-members. A $4 per vehicle entry fee is also required and must be paid at the gate when you enter the park. Each walk is limited to 20 participants, and many spots are already filled.Participants may also sign up for a free 45 minute buggy ride in the Prairie.
