Hello, my name is Laurin Spyker, and I’m the founder of Business Babes Network, a women’s networking group open to any female—whether you’re a woman in business or a woman who wants to support women in business. I joined the Okeechobee Chamber of Commerce to help support the community in any way I can and to connect with other members whom I can support and grow with.

I’m a native-born Floridian, a REALTOR® with 21 years of experience, and a business owner since May 2023. I’ve been actively networking for over 20 years. For fun, I’m an equestrian and have been a seasonal resident of Okeechobee since 1998.

I was truly honored to be appointed President of Okeechobee Community Theatre, Inc. in 2025, and I remain grateful for the trust placed in me. Since then, our theatre has experienced meaningful growth. We have expanded to a five-show season, strengthened our leadership team, and established a Foundation to honor our founders and preserve their vision. This progress is the result of the passion and dedication of our volunteers, artists, supporters, and community partners. I am proud of what we have accomplished and excited for what lies ahead. My goal is to deepen community engagement and strengthen the theatre’s role beyond the stage, ensuring it remains a welcoming place for all. As we move forward, I invite you to be part of this journey whether by attending, volunteering, supporting the Foundation, or sharing our mission. Together, we can keep the arts accessible, inspiring, and alive for generations to come.
